A raw food diet is not something new…
it’s a way of eating that has been around since the beginning of time and will always dominate the dietary habits found in nature. Yet, its powerful healing and body-transforming secrets have been withheld from us because of all the processed foods and marketing in front of us.
Eating a raw food diet is like eating pure energy… it is principle-centered and relies on the importance of following an alkaline, enzyme-rich, and predominantly plant-based diet. Although my diet is roughly 80% raw, I’m not here to preach to you to convert to becoming a raw foodist, but to encourage you to eat as healthy as possible. My major focus is consuming alkalizing and energizing my body with the healthiest foods possible, which happen to be raw foods. It’s a lifestyle adjustment that has changed my life and it can change yours too, when you are ready!
Marisa is a Raw Foods Chef, Personal Trainer, and Nationally Qualified Figure Competitor. Along with her husband Pieter they are spreading the word of the importance of plant-based raw food nutrition as well as fitness throughout Northeast Ohio. They are graduates of Cleveland State University with B.S.’s in Exercise Science as well as Alissa Cohen Certified “Living on Live Foods” Chefs and Instructors. Marisa also studied the Science of Raw Food Nutrition at the Living Light Culinary Institute in California.
Marisa is well versed on plant based foods and will educate as she presents. She is passionate about raw culinary cuisine and the use of organic and local products. She is a dedicated teacher and trainer who is dedicated to using the power food to make drastic health changes.
Pieter is one of the Founders and Head Trainers for Raw Trainer. He trains from a dynamic personal training facility called Fuel Fitness located in Strongsville, Ohio. At this location, he is able to train a variety of clientele such as athletes, weekend warriors, soccer moms, special needs clients and general fitness individuals. Pieter is available for in-home training and corporate fitness programs.
Pieter received his Bachelor’s in Sport Management from Cleveland State University and is a nationally recognized Certified Personal Trainer. He is also a member of IDEA Health & Fitness association, a well respected organization within the fitness industry. His advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics has benefited hundreds of clients throughout the Cleveland Area!
Kim joined Raw Trainer as an Administrator in 2011. She acts as a personal assistant to Marisa with administration, scheduling, and classes. Kim previously worked for Ryan Homes as an Office Manager. Since starting her raw journey in 2010, Kim has seen marked improvement in headaches, digestion, emotional balancing and energy levels. She relies on snack foods and the healthier raw desserts to keep her blood sugar stable and her cravings at bay. She has inspired friends and family to be adventurous and try raw recipes and incorporate more in their daily diet.
